Sounds scary!! well on my server central admin n other application throws error “cannot connect to config database” however SQL Server is running fine but when i open the mgmt studio i found “Suspect”  Status with the sharepoint_config database.

Thanks to SQL Server provides an emergency mode which you can use to retreive your data.Below is the script which takes the suspected database to emergency then repair and then to normal mode.

EXEC sp_resetstatus ‘SharePoint_Config’

ALTER DATABASE SharePoint_Config SET EMERGENCY

DBCC checkdb(‘SharePoint_Config’)

ALTER DATABASE SharePoint_Config SET SINGLE_USER WITH ROLLBACK IMMEDIATE

DBCC CheckDB (‘SharePoint_Config’, REPAIR_ALLOW_DATA_LOSS)

ALTER DATABASE SharePoint_Config SET MULTI_USER
